Spotlight Musical Theatre Academy is running an summer workshop for young people aged between 5 to 18 years. The course promises the highest level of performance training in an exciting, fun and supportive environment, immersing the participants in a six day rehearsal process, finishing with a two performances of the musical The Wizard of Oz.

Rehearsals will take place at Bladon Methodist Church from Monday 30 July to Saturday 4 August from 10am until 4pm. On Saturday 4 August there will be matinee and evening public performance for friends and family. The cost per family is £160 for the first child and £140 for siblings. The fee includes the performance on stage with professional sound and lighting and all costumes, scripts and rehearsal materials. All current Spotlight Academy pupils can enjoy a 10% discount on the fee - this includes pupils enrolled in classes in Witney and those in after school classes at Deddington and Woodstock Primary Schools.

This is the seventh holiday show run by Alicia Rumsby and Seb Heffer following the success of Guys & Dolls and High School Musical (2017), Night at the Movies, Bugsy Malone, Night at the Musicals (2016) and Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (2015). Alicia and Seb have staged shows across the county with children of all ages at schools and youth groups.
